For the CFIT Senior Buffet, the design team was individually paired with another person in the pastry team where the goal is to create and showcase design peripherals for the event. Design team students worked with their pastry team partners to create a branding for their desserts.
On the first day paired with my partner, there was an array of questions asked, detailing the mood, colors, font, and name they wanted for their logo and branding. After receiving the information from the first meeting, the next goal was to begin sketching and researching rose logos and bakery-themed things. Finishing the sketches came three separate logos and menu designs that had their mood and professionalism depending on what the client was looking more into. Eventually, the client chose the first logo, and after some changes, it was finalized and applied to the menu and name cards. The menu was designed with fake roses around the corners and applied to a square wood panel that would serve as the backing to the menu. It sat on the pedestal during the Senior Buffet along with the name cards to their respective desserts. Showing up to the event, there were photos taken of the deliverables being used along with a happy client.
