Overnight is a video game-based minzine that features four different topics in the form of an article, a creative ad, a free page, and an interview.
The Overnight typography is blocky and has sharp edges to signify a theme of tech and pixels. The four main topics were chosen due to the popularity of that topic in the video game community during the time the mini zine was created, for example, the Pokemon cards scalper situation in 2022. Adobe Illustrator was used to create all of the designs, specifically the silhouette of Kratos for the God of War: Ragnarok and the Xbox and Razer headset advertisement. After the backgrounds were created, it was implemented into Adobe InDesign to add text and the other pages by using a specific set of spacing and columns. The four colors chosen correspond with the colors for each spread, so the reader can understand which part is which without having to look at the cover. All designs are different on each page to create personalized sections regarding the topic.
